A Gem Like Clem
NYC has gotten a lot of music hype for years and its gems like Clem Snide that earn the five boroughs its buzz. Among the looming legends that have emerged–the Ramones, the Velvet Underground, just to name a few–the smaller, lesser-known artists keep the music scene fresh and well-rounded. Clem Snide is a great example of this. A mix of country, folk-rock and glowing pop, Clem Snide delivers catchy, clever, but somehow wistful songs of everything from love to Elvis’ long lost twin. Lead singer Eef Barzelay’s unique voice will grab you too, the texture like that of a twangy crooner. Start off with the album The Ghost of Fashion and you’ll see what we mean.
